The attorney

Olegario C. Estrada.

Texas A&M University School of Law, 2002 · State Bar of Texas, 2003

Olegario Estrada opened this office to help people in his own community get through a court system that was not built for them. More than twenty years later, that is still the job. He handles injury cases against insurance companies and criminal cases against the State of Texas and the United States. Both sides of the courthouse, in both languages. Clients say the same things over and over: he took his time, he kept us updated, he explained what would actually happen. He reads your file, sets the strategy and stands in the courtroom. His associates and staff work the case with him, not instead of him.

“Our experience with this law firm was simply everything we could've asked for. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner, followed up with us. As for pricing, it was very reasonable and honestly less than we anticipated. Last, but not least, thank you Liz and Vianey for being so helpful throughout this process.”

It is free. You tell us what happened, and we tell you where you stand and what has to happen first. By phone, by video or in the office.

  3. 03

Any papers you were given: the ticket or citation, bond paperwork, the crash report number, insurance letters, court dates. A photo on your phone is fine.

Common questions

Things people ask before they call.

If yours isn't here, call. The first conversation is free.

How much does a consultation cost?
Nothing. The first conversation is free, by phone, video, or in the office, in English or Spanish.
Someone I love was just arrested. What do I do first?
Call us, day or night. Do not let them give a statement. We'll find out where they're being held, what the bond is, and what the first court date looks like.
How do you charge for an injury case?
Most personal injury cases are handled on a contingency basis, which means the fee comes out of the recovery, not out of your pocket up front.
I'm not a U.S. citizen. Does that change my case?
Yes, and it has to be handled from the start. A plea that looks harmless can trigger removal. We take immigration consequences into account in every criminal case.
Do I have to come to the office?
No. Phone and video consultations are available. If you're injured and can't travel, we'll work around that.
What if I already talked to the insurance company?
Call us anyway. Tell us exactly what you said. It's usually fixable, but the sooner we know, the better.
Is the whole office bilingual?
Yes. The attorney and the staff speak English and Spanish. You'll understand everything that's happening in your case.
